Going to be Absent from your in-person lesson?
Choose one of the Absence options below

1. Zoom Lesson (great if you’re sick or out of town!)
Held live at your usual lesson time. When you submit the form, you’ll automatically receive a Zoom link and instructions. Minimum notice: 10 minutes. If you give less than 4 hours’ notice, I won’t be notified until my previous student leaves, so I may be a few minutes late to our appointment. No limit per term. |

2. Cancellation
Simply cancel your lesson. Please note: cancellations are not eligible for refunds, credits, make-up lessons, or Standby Lessons. |

3. Cancellation + Standby Pool (Trial)
A courtesy option that cancels your lesson but enters you into the Standby Pool, where you may be offered times cancelled by other students within the same term. For this to work well for everyone, planned absences must be submitted as early as possible. 4. Prearranged Short Video Lesson (**Intermediate & Advanced Players)
I’ll spend the equivalent of your lesson time recording and sending you a short instructional video. You may also choose to be added to the Standby Pool when submitting this option, in case another time becomes available during the same term. Since setup, recording, and uploading take preparation, these videos are shorter than your usual lesson duration. Limit: two Prearranged Short Video Lessons per term. Prearranging: The content of your Prearranged Short Video Lesson must be organised in person during a previous lesson, so we can plan the material together. 5. Write a Song Out for Me (Transcription)
See examples here: www.benparkerguitar.com.au/transcribing I’ll spend your lesson time transcribing part of a song for you. This option works well for players with eclectic tastes where sheet music isn’t available—or is too complex for your current level. To request this, please list at least three songs on your absence form. Minimum notice: the day before your lesson. You may also choose to be added to the Standby Pool when submitting this option, in case another time becomes available during the same term. |
