About MeI’m a well-established ukulele and guitar teacher in Brisbane. Originally from New Zealand, I moved to Brisbane in 2019 to live with my Australian partner and have a family. We now have a 3.5 year old girl and a 1 year old boy.
From a young age I have been a performing musician playing genres such as rock, blues, jazz, folk, pop and reggae/ska/dub. However, for me, teaching is not a side gig to supplement my music career. Teaching is my full-time and only job and my students have my complete dedication. I have over a decade of experience as a guitar teacher here in Brisbane and in New Zealand and 5 years of tertiary music qualifications. I have taught hundreds of students with abilities ranging from absolute beginner to very advanced. Reliability, integrity and consistency are important to me as an educator. It has always been my priority that my students know they come first. In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, tramping (this is what New Zealanders call multi-day hiking), running, camping, reading, good food and coffee, traveling and arranging music (see below!). |
